Martha's Vineyard Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem RN for constant observation of patients identified as at risk to themselves or others. Onsite at One Hospital Road with a rotating shift, pay ranges from $17.71 to $23.55 per hour.

Under RN direction, you will document care, monitor patient status, assist with feeding and mobility, and communicate changes during handoffs to the care team. This role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some healthcare experience; 0-1 year preferred.
• Ability to remain alert for extended periods.
• Ability to verbally calm patients.
• English reading/writing and speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Provide constant observation of patient identified as a risk.
• Document the care of patient under observation.
• Keep nurse informed of changes in patient condition.
• Assist patient in event of a fall.
• Handoff information to staff regarding patient and status.
• Assist with feeding patient(s) as directed by the RN.
