Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedics department at Overlook Medical Center in New Providence, NJ. The PA will provide inpatient coverage for the spine service on a rotating day schedule.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Orthopedics Acute Care with OR first assist experience and valid NJ license, with BLS and ACLS certifications. Collaboration with the care team is essential, with occasional cross-coverage for joint/trauma teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Valid New Jersey license (APN or PA).
• Active board certification in APN or PA; BLS and ACLS.
• At least 3 years in Orthopedics Acute Care with OR first assist experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rounds and perform consultations.
• First assist in spine cases; order and interpret diagnostics.
• Evaluate postoperative patients and coordinate with the care team.
• Occasional cross-coverage with joint/trauma teams and residents.
