Location:

Haddon Township, NJ

Type:

Per Diem, twice a month

Responsibilities:

1. Assist orthodontist in patient assessment and treatment planning
2. Assist and prepare orthodontic procedures, such as fitting braces, adjusting wires, and placing elastics.
3. Sterilize, set up and prepare orthodontic equipment and instrumentation
4. Preparation and maintenance of medical records and documentation
5. Create patient file entries
6. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
7. Provide patient instruction and education on oral hygiene and care
8. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
9. Perform basic laboratory duties
10. Schedule patient appointments
11. Manage patient flow
12. Under the supervision of the Orthodontist, deliver and assist with direct patient care
13. Take diagnostic records
14. Document and prepare cases
15. Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma required; either a diploma from an accredited orthodontic assistant program or relevant clinical experience. Dental assistant license or relevant clinical experience. X-ray license required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and techniques.
