Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital is seeking a PRN RN in General Surgery to provide professional nursing care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling in a supportive environment and a day shift option.

Qualified candidates graduate from an accredited nursing program with current RN or RNFA licensure and BLS certification. Prior surgical experience is preferred for internal and external applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Must hold RN or RNFA licensure.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting for adults and children.
• Perform scrub functions: select and handle instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating duties: monitor and communicate patient conditions.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis and suturing.
• Prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment for use.
