Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, NJ seeks a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Oncology/Leukemia. You will work with oncologists/hematologists to manage day‑to‑day cancer care, provide patient-centered advocacy, and mentor staff.

You will lead interdisciplinary rounds, support evidence-based practice, and contribute to clinical research while enjoying a highly collaborative, patient-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN/AACN accredited nursing program with a Master’s or Doctorate in NP.
• Experience in oncology/hematology care; bone marrow transplant preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficiency with MS Office/Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history/physicals and manage complex conditions.
• Safely prescribe medications and complete reconciliations per NJ rules.
• Deliver patient-centered education and transition of care support.
• Collaborate daily with physicians and the broader team.
• Mentor APNs and nursing staff; participate in protocol development.
• Engage in clinical research and promote APN practice recognition.
