Job summary

Oswego Health is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist at Oswego Hospital to provide skilled therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings. The OT will develop and adjust treatment plans, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with NYS regulations and Joint Commission standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited OT program and NYS OT licensure (or pending). Per diem schedule offers flexibility and opportunities across Fulton, Central Square, and Oswego locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Current New York State Occupational Therapist license or permit working toward license.
• Occupational Therapy Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders in compliance of New York State laws.
• Coordinate treatment plans with a variety of care providers such as family members, physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapy assistants, or case managers as needed.
• Provide information for insurance credentialing and authorization to provide patient coverage.
• Design home exercise programs and instruct patients post-discharge; recommend equipment as needed.
• Record treatment charges daily, accurately and timely.
• Supervise and direct OT staff and students; participate in clinical instruction.
• Comply with NYS Office of Professions regulations, Joint Commission standards, and department policies.
