Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY) seeks an Occupational Therapist to join NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem Hospital on a per diem basis. The role involves treating patients in acute and ambulatory services, mentoring students, and maintaining safe environments.

You must have NYS OT license, graduate from accredited OT program (BS or higher). Pediatric or ICU experience is a plus. The hourly rate is $65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program with a BS or higher in Occupational Therapy.
• Current NYS License in Occupational Therapy.
• Pediatric or ICU experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients on the acute and/or ambulatory services.
• Assists with maintaining treatment equipment and ensuring a safe environment for the patients.
• Maintains accurate record of patient evaluations, progress, recommendations, and goals.
• Supervises student interns and volunteers as assigned.
• Assists the supervisor or chief in preparing daily stats.
• Participates in the clinical education program for student therapists by mentoring a student intern.
• Educates patient and/or family regarding the occupational therapy aspects of diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis in an appropriate manner.
