Job summary

Munson Healthcare’s Women’s Health Service Line is seeking casual OB/GYN physicians to provide call coverage at Gaylord, Grayling, Charlevoix and Cadillac, Michigan. Per diem or ancillary work with reimbursement for meals, travel, and lodging.

Position highlights include a minimum of 3, 24-hour call shifts per month, mileage reimbursement, lodging and food reimbursement, credentialing at all sites, and collaboration with physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives.

Qualifications

• MD or DO credentials required for OB/GYN practice.
• US Residency training program completion (ACGME or equivalent).
• NRP, BLS, and EFM certifications.

Responsibilities

• Triage or OB ED services.
• IP rounding on OB/GYN patients (assigned/unassigned).
• GYN consultations for hospitalized patients and the main ED.
• Surgical assisting for OBs or gynecologists.
• Provide call coverage and L&D support; interpret EFM strips.
• Stand-by for deliveries.
• Perform amniotomies and sonograms.
• IUPC/FSE placement.
• Monitor laboring patients.
