Job summary

Kennebec Pharmacy & Home Care in Augusta, Maine is seeking a patient-focused Per Diem IV Nurse Clinician to provide and coordinate infusion care for patients at home or in alternate settings.

You will perform nursing duties per physician orders, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure safe, high-quality care during home visits. This role requires an active Maine RN license, CPR, and at least two years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Maine RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of two years in an acute care setting.
• Home care experience preferred, or at least one year of nursing experience within the past three years.
• Strong knowledge of IV therapy preferred.
• Effective communication, teaching, and presenting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care in accordance with state laws and Kennebec Pharmacy & Home Care policies.
• Perform clinical duties according to physician orders.
• Communicate with the pharmacy manager, physician, and other health care team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in patient-related travel as necessary.
• Educate patients, caregivers, referrals, home health agencies, etc., as appropriate.
• Patient visits may include: physical assessment, psycho-social support, IV access and administration of medication, therapeutic monitoring, Plan of Care development and revision, patient education, coordination of related services.
