Job Details
  • Job Title: Per diem / Nurse Aide
  • Department: OBGYN
  • Location: Canton - Potsdam Hospital / 3rd floor East
  • Hours Per Week: Per diem
  • Schedule: 2:00PM-10:00PM, 10:00PM-6:00AM; 7.5-hour variable evenings, every other weekend and holidays
Summary

The nurse aide works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document comprehensive, family and patient-centered care under supervision.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
  • Report patient conditions to licensed nursing staff to support positive outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and families.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a nurse aide training course at hire
  • Previous experience as a nurse aide
Additional Information
  • Union: 1199 - Service Maintenance and Clerical (CPH) (not all roles are union eligible)
  • Physical requirements include exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
  • Pay Range: $17.91 - $25.40
