Job summary

Palo Verde Hospital in Blythe, California seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinic team on a per-diem basis. The role involves direct primary care, patient follow-ups, and same-day appointments, in a day shift model.

The candidate must hold NP or PA credentials with CA licensure, national certifications, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS. The position supports care across all ages and works with physicians and clinic staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
• Current California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or as a Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current national certification through recognized boards (ANCC/AANP/AACN/PNCB for NP; NCCPA for PA)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• DEA registration with prescribing authority.
• Minimum of two years of experience in primary care or specialty care setting.
• Experience caring for patients across multiple age groups is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct primary care in a clinic setting.
• Perform physical examinations and assess health needs across age groups.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Deliver patient education and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
