Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse in New York.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Basic Life Support Certification (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of organizational goals within quality and safety performance improvement plan.
• Collects, assesses and documents patient healthcare data.
• Involves patient/family and interdisciplinary team to identify a realistic plan of care.
• Prioritizes care based on data collected.
• Documents assessment and reassessment in medical records.
• Implements interventions coordinating patient care safely and timely.
• Educates patient/family regarding health status and care plan.
• Documents learning outcomes of patient/family and revises plan as needed.
• Evaluates progress with patient/family and team; adjusts interventions as needed.
• Participates in unit activities to provide healing and caring environment.
• Ensures adherence to NY State Nurse Practice Act and regulatory requirements.
