Job summary

Requirements include AS in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC RRT credential, Maryland state license, and ability to obtain an Advanced Certification within 12 months. Per diem schedule with $45/hour pay and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved respiratory program.
• AS in Respiratory Therapy required.
• 2 years NICU experience preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC.
• Active Maryland State license by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
• Must obtain an Advanced Certification within the 1st year of employment.
• Willing to obtain an advanced certification when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, document and evaluate patients on invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Deliver respiratory services and medications via proper modalities across all age groups.
• Assess and document patient outcomes via EMR; perform SBAR and participate in rounds in ICU/NICU.
• Manage airways for spontaneous breathing and respiratory-compromised patients.
• Perform quality control and maintenance on assigned equipment.
