Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (NICU) to provide evidence-based, family-centered care for critically ill and premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, manage ventilators and IV infusions, administer medications, and respond promptly to neonatal emergencies.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and ability to practice in an acute care setting.
• Strong neonatal/critical care nursing skills, including assessment and clinical judgment.
• Proficiency in ventilator support and IV infusion management.
• Medication administration expertise and adherence to safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, family-centered nursing care for critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vitals, labs, and devices.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other interdisciplinary specialists to implement care plans.
• Administer medications and manage ventilator support and IV infusions as prescribed.
• Respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and adjust care as needed.
