Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Per Diem Neonatal NP or PA for the NICU in Manhattan. The role involves providing, coordinating, and ensuring comprehensive neonatal care within a collaborative physician-practitioner model.

Candidates must hold NYS RN licensure with Nurse Practitioner licensure, a Master's in Nursing, and ANCC/board certification in a clinical area, plus BLS. Prior NICU experience is preferred and ACLS/NRP may be required based on privileges.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Current registration as Professional Nurse in New York and Registration as Nurse Practitioner in New York.
• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Certification required (ANCC or Board Certification in clinical area).
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes care to meet patient needs per protocols and resources.
• Monitors cost effectiveness related to service performance indicators.
• Assists in research protocols when applicable.
• Collaborates with nursing and other disciplines on clinical studies.
• Uses evidence-based literature to advise practice changes.
• Monitors patient outcomes per protocols for quality improvement.
• Provides education to peers and other health professionals.
• Maintains current expertise in area of practice.
