Job summary

PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center in Longview, WA seeks a Per Diem MRI Technologist to perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with a focus on image quality and patient care.

You will operate MRI equipment, ensure safety, and contribute to timely diagnoses while providing a compassionate imaging experience for patients and families. Shifts vary between 6:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., with a competitive hourly rate and a 15% differential in lieu of benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent education and experience for licensure/certification.
• Washington Radiologic Technologist license at hire.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (R), ARRT (MR), ARRT (Sonography), CNMT, or ARMRIT certification upon hire.
• MR certification (ARRT MR) obtained within 18 months of hire.
• Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
• Knowledge of MRI procedures, terminology, anatomy, and imaging applications.
• MRI experience preferred; previous experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams producing high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate MRI equipment for image acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation.
• Apply MRI safety best practices to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
• Use clinical judgment and patient-centered care to create a positive imaging experience.
• Maintain quality standards and support accurate, timely diagnoses.
