Job summary

RAYUS Radiology seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and provide patient-centered imaging services. You will perform routine and advanced MRI scans, ensure safety, and support the department with protocol updates and training.

The role requires ARRT/ARMRIT registration, AMA radiography education, CPR certification, and the ability to work independently within state regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have training to competently perform MRI procedures independently; certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam and verify identity and procedure.
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures and positions them for scanning.
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision, providing patient support.
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follows physician orders, adheres to safety regulations, maintains RIS records.
• Keeps work area clean and equipment disinfected; complies with safety practices.
• Maintains MRI equipment and ensures proper functioning; updates ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

The pay range for this position is $32.00- $52.00 based on direct and relevant experience.

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independentlyCertification in imaging specialty
