Responsibilities
Examinations: Performs routine procedures in MRI on a scheduled and emergency basis. Reviews and evaluates requisitions for MR imaging procedures, abstracts data from patient charts and determines appropriateness of the procedure given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations. Identifies patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers. Selects appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify pathologic and normal anatomy. Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patient's specific needs. Explains the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and magnetic field environment. Follows MR QC Exam/Data Integrity workflow expectations. Practices High Reliability Training. Consistently provides exceptional care and service.
Patient/Family Relations: Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
Equipment: Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application.
