Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Commack, NY is seeking a Per Diem MRI Technologist to support the Radiology team at our outpatient location. You will perform advanced MRI imaging procedures with precision, ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic imaging in a flexible per diem schedule.

The ideal candidate has a radiology degree, NY license and ARRT MRI certification, and is team-oriented with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Requires degree from a 2 yr AMA approved Radiology school or a 1 yr MRI technologist program.
• New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registration (MRI) (R), and MRI certification (MR).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures with independent judgment in an outpatient center.
• Follow administrative guidance from Manager and clinical guidance from Radiologist to perform MRI exams.
• Ensure examinations are accurate, complete and submitted for physician review.
• Lead exam procedures to improve efficiency and meet patient needs.
• Prepare records and enter data into information management system.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and perform quality control tests as assigned.
• Treat patients and staff with respect and courtesy, focusing on needs and communication.
• Collaborate with team to achieve departmental goals.

In this per diem role, you will perform advanced MRI imaging procedures with precision and compassion, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic quality. Role Overview:

• Perform a variety of Magnetic Resonance (M.R.) imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity within an outpatient center.
• Under the administrative direction of the Manager and under the clinical guidance of the Radiologist, perform a variety of MRI procedures while applying their technical ability independently.
• Perform all examinations accurately, completely and efficiently, checking technical quality, and submits completed exams for physician to review.
• Lead all aspects of the exam procedures to improve exam efficiency while meeting patient needs.
• Prepare accurate records and enters required data into information management system.
• Maintain a neat, clean, safe environment, and performs quality control tests as assigned.
• Treat those individuals (e.g., patient/family, client, center employee) who depend on the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the work as unique individuals in a respectful, courteous manner, and focuses on understanding and meeting their needs.
• Work collaboratively with others to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.

Key Qualifications:

• Requires degree from a 2 yr AMA approved Radiology school or a 1 yr MRI technologist program.
• New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registration (MRI) (R), and MRI certification (MR).

Additional Information:

• Location: MSK Commack- 650 Commack Road, Commack, NY
• Schedule: Per Diem as needed, Flexed shifts between 8am - 6pm, Saturdays (no less than 2 per month), Weekday availability a plus.
• Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Regional Radiology

Per Diem rate - $80 hour
