Job summary

Total Sono is seeking an experienced MFM Sonographer for per diem shifts at North Jersey OB/GYN practices. The role includes diverse obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound studies across Bloomfield, Montclair, and Clifton, with per diem flexibility and collaborative oversight from perinatologists.

Ideal candidates are ARDMS OB/GYN certified with 2+ years in routine and high-risk imaging, capable of independent work, and patient-centered in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered in OB/GYN with current OBGYN experience including fetal anatomies.
• MFM/NT preferred.
• Experienced (minimum 2 years) in both routine and high-risk obstetrical imaging.
• Confident performing gynecologic studies.
• Comfortable working independently while partnering closely with physicians.
• Patient-centered, calm under pressure, and committed to excellence in clinical care.

Responsibilities

• First trimester viability and early pregnancy evaluations
• Transvaginal cervical length assessments
• Second trimester fetal anatomy surveys
• Fetal growth, BPP, and Doppler assessments in the second and third trimester
• Targeted Level II studies and detailed imaging for high-risk pregnancies
• Specialized Doppler studies including Umbilical Artery and Middle Cerebral Artery Dopplers
• Nuchal translucency screenings
• 3D and 4D targeted fetal imaging
• Ultrasound assessments for gynecologic conditions including fibroids, cysts, pelvic pain, and abnormal bleeding
