Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Per Diem Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory team. The role focuses on performing and evaluating complex tests to support diagnosis and treatment, with flexible shifts and variable hours per week.

The successful candidate will work independently in a fast-paced lab, perform QC, maintain equipment, and coordinate with physicians and nurses as needed. ASCP registration within one year is preferred, bachelor's in Medical Technology required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.
• ASCP registration within one year of hire.
• 1 year of Medical Technology training at an approved hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of body fluids using manual and automated instrumentation.
• Accurately report results of tests and procedures.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and communicate issues; use alternative methods when needed.
• Maintain laboratory equipment; perform QC procedures, calibration, and maintenance.
• Meet established turnaround times for routine and STAT tests.
• Organize and prioritize work during varying workload.
