UCI Health is seeking a Food Service Worker to support meal assembly, service and delivery within our kitchen and patient services areas. The role includes dishwashing, sanitation and safety tasks, with interaction with customers and peers in a busy hospital setting.

Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays is required, along with the ability to read, write and follow English instructions. Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Food Services Manager and working within the kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and/or patient services, the Food Service Worker performs a variety of food service tasks in the areas of meal assembly, service and delivery, dishwashing, sanitation and safety.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques
• Demonstrated experience working in a kitchen/dining environment, interacting closely with customers and peers.
