Job summary

VitalCheck Wellness Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience for an onsite corporate wellness clinic. This per diem, 1099 contract role runs weekdays 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with coverage needs and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include patient intake, venipuncture, specimen collection, and coordination of follow-up care; familiarity with EMR is required and excellent patient service is essential.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted license/certification for Georgia.
• CPR certification (BLS or ACLS) required.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Experience in a clinical setting or hospitality background is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and bedside manner.
• Must be able to commute to Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for patients.
• Prepare patients for provider evaluation and communicate initial concerns to the clinical team, including collecting intake and vital signs.
• Collect venipuncture, urine samples, and perform point-of-care testing.
• Coordinate follow-up care and schedule appointments/referrals.
• Educate patients on follow-up care steps and instructions.
• Handle referrals and insurance coverage inquiries.
• Support documentation and upload results into the EMR system.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
