NYU Langone Health is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant, FG P at North Babylon to support physicians, nurses and Advanced Care Practitioners. The role includes preparing patients, taking vital signs, obtaining specimens, and performing data entry in Epic while maintaining patient privacy and a high standard of care.

The candidate should have a Medical Assistant Program completion or equivalent, and current MA certification.

Competenze

• Working knowledge of English evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification from a nationally recognized accredited institution upon hire.

Mansioni

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care, validate patient identifiers and prepare rooms and patients for examination.
• Measure and record vital signs, draw blood, collect lab specimens and perform point-of-care tests as trained.
• Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, phone calls and data entry; document patient information in the EMR.
