Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Assistant to support healthcare teams with clinical and non-clinical patient services on site at 2014 Washington Street. You will take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow under supervision of providers.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy, EHR proficiency, and the ability to work with physicians and nursing staff. Per diem, onsite, with pay range $22.75–$24.94 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting preferred.
• Certifications in BLS and CMA are referenced in credentials.
• Experience in medical offices or clinics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Show patients to rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, measure vital signs, and record in the medical record.
• Explain treatments and medications, organize educational materials for patients.
• Answer phones, take dictation, complete insurance forms, and liaise with departments for patient care.
• Collect blood/tissue samples, log specimens, and prepare for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain immunization inventory and check expiration dates; assist with immunizations when qualified.
• Support quality initiatives such as patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
