You will operate and maintain mammography equipment, follow exposure protocols, and conduct routine quality control and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certified in general radiologic technology by the ARRT.
• Certified in mammography by ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Specializes in screening and diagnostic mammograms.
• Obtains patient history and explains procedures to comfort patients.
• Operates and maintains mammography equipment.
• Positions patients and adjusts exposure factors to capture requested images.
• Performs quality assurance and adheres to radiation safety procedures.
• Maintains documentation and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Keeps an adequate supply of consumables and performs routine maintenance checks.
• May assist other radiology areas as assigned.
