Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care's NGH Breast Center in North Carolina is seeking a Mammography Technologist to produce mammograms under a Radiologist's direction. You will ensure film quality, patient safety, apply shielding, and assist in staff and student education to support departmental operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
• Must be mammography registered within 12 months of hire.
• Current ARRT registration with CE credits.

Responsibilities

• Produces routine and diagnostic mammograms under Radiologist direction.
• Applies radiation safety and patient protection guidelines.
• Provides emotional support and information to patients.
• Delivers care appropriate to patient age groups served.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff.
• Instructs staff, new employees, and students in mammography theory and skills.
• Operates and maintains mammographic equipment and related systems.
• Participates in quality control, QA, and quality improvement activities.
• Supports education and training for staff and students.
