Job summary

New Hope Community in Sullivan County, NY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for per-diem assignments to support residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with RNs to implement medical treatments and maintain documentation.

You must hold a NYS LPN license, have a valid NYS driver’s license, and be able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. Prior clinical experience is preferred; extensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State LPN license.
• Clean/valid NYS Driver’s License required.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
• Prior clinical, medical or surgical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement medical-based treatments for residents.
• Prepare monthly physician orders and medication administration records.
• Train staff as needed.
• Counsel individuals on needs (sexuality, hygiene, medical and nutritional).
• Provide first aid and maintain medical documentation.
