Job summary

DGADA Management is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a per diem role in Montgomery, Alabama. The LPN will deliver direct nursing care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery under the supervision of an RN.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, documenting care, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team. Requirements: active Alabama LPN license, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of inpatient medical-surgical experience

Qualifications

• Current, active Alabama LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of inpatient medical-surgical or hospital experience preferred.
• Rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under RN supervision and provide safe, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to established care plans and physician orders.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, behaviors, and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments within the scope of the LPN license.
• Report changes in patients’ conditions to the supervising RN or appropriate healthcare professional.
• Assist patients with daily care needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Document nursing care and patient responses accurately.
• Follow infection-control procedures and patient-safety standards.
