Job summary

Town of Nantucket's Our Island Home is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care to residents in a compassionate and professional manner. This role is based in the island's nursing home, with an hourly wage and no benefits.

Candidate must be MA-licensed, have completed an accredited nursing program, and be fluent in English. Prior long-term care experience is preferred and work is in a nursing home environment.

Job Summary:

Our Island Home, the Town’s nursing facility, seeks a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in providing direct patient care to residents in a compassionate and professional manner.

Requirements

• Currently licensed in Massachusetts and in good physical and mental health.
• Completion of an accredited nurse licensure program; or if licensed by waiver, must comply with regulations of the MA Department of Public Health.
• Prior work experience in a long-term care healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing no less than 50 pounds; more intensive physical effort may be required to assist residents.
• Fluent in English.
• Work is performed in a nursing home environment.

Position Details

• Hourly rate: $35.50
• No Benefits.
• Non-Union.
