Job summary
Town of Nantucket’s Our Island Home is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care to residents with compassion and professionalism.
Required MA nursing license, accredited program completion, and long-term care experience preferred. Must lift 50 lbs and communicate in English. Per diem, no benefits, non-union position based in a nursing home environment.

- Prior long-term care experience preferred.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Fluent in English.

Job Summary: Our Island Home, the Town’s nursing facility, seeks a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse to assist in providing direct patient care to residents in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Currently licensed in Massachusetts and in good physical and mental health.
- Completion of an accredited nurse licensure program; or if licensed by waiver, must comply with regulations of the MA Department of Public Health.
- Prior work experience in a long-term care healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing no less than 50 pounds; more intensive physical effort may be required to assist residents.
- Fluent in English.
- Work is performed in a nursing home environment.
- Hourly rate: $35.50
- No Benefits.
- Non-Union.
