Job summary

Small Door is seeking a licensed veterinary nurse to join our state-of-the-art hospitals. You will triage, assess, and monitor patients while supporting doctors with diagnostics and treatments.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts veterinary license is required to be eligible.
• Comfort with computers and online tools for record-keeping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in fast-paced care.

Responsibilities

• Triaging and recognizing medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Assessing patients and recording vitals for doctors.
• Assisting in diagnostics and treatments as instructed.
• Preparing medications and in-house lab work.
• Placing catheters and taking blood samples.
• Assisting radiography capture and sample prep for labs.
• Providing compassionate, Fear Free care and client communication.

What you’ll do

• Triaging

• Knowledge and ability to recognize medical emergencies and illnesses
