Qualifications

Job description

Join to apply for the Per-Diem Licensed Therapist role at Family & Children's Association.

The Licensed Therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy services to children and their families who are diagnosed or at risk of being diagnosed with a mental health disorder. Services primarily take place in the child's home and/or community but may also be delivered virtually or in-office based on client needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

1. Provide in-person off-site clinical services, including individual, family, and/or group therapy to children and their families.
2. Provide crisis services in-person or via phone to caseload, when available.
3. Complete progress notes for each session and telephone calls.
4. Complete treatment plans in accordance with State and Managed Care Organization Guidelines.
5. Coordinate with child's Care Coordinators or other providers, when needed.
6. Submit work by deadlines and in compliance with funding regulations and the agency's Compliance Plan.
7. Deliver and document services using a strength-based and family-driven approach.
8. Assume other responsibilities assigned to support the operations of the program.

Qualifications

1. LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Licensed Psychoanalyst, LMSW under the supervision of an LCSW.
2. Limited permit MHC, MFT, and CAT will be considered.
3. Experience providing Medicaid billable services preferred.
4. Experience working with children and/or adolescents preferred; experience working with children with a mental health diagnosis is a plus.
5. Intermediate computer skills.
6. Willingness to travel throughout Nassau and Western Suffolk counties to provide services.
7. Valid NYS driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history.

Schedule: Per-Diem

Salary: $50/Hour
