Job summary

Universal Health Services (HOPE Center) seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to support psychiatric patients at the Heritage Oaks HOPE Center. The role covers crisis intervention, family and group therapies, and social work services to enable access to therapeutic treatment and emotional health goals.

Qualifications include a Master’s in Social Work and LCSW/LMFT, with at least 1 year in a psychiatric setting. Handle with Care and CPR training are required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Heritage Oaks Patient Enrichment Center, more commonly known as the 'HOPE Center', is a newly constructed, state of the art, 16-bed, Psychiatric Health Facility, serving the acute psychiatric needs of the community in concert with the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills achievement of their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Schedule: Per Diem - availability during weekday and weekend

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinically-related mental health field and LCSW or LMFT.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Additional Requirements: Handle with Care training within 90 days of employment and CPR (training provided in-house). May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
