Job summary

HOPE Center in Sacramento is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide social work services for patients at the Heritage Oaks Psychiatric Health Facility. The role includes crisis intervention, family and group therapies, and referrals to support services.

The per diem position requires a Master's in Social Work and an LCSW or LMFT, with at least one year in a psychiatric health care setting and flexibility for variable hours.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a clinically-related mental health field.
• Must have LCSW or LMFT credential.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility; experience with family and group therapies and crisis intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

The Heritage Oaks Patient Enrichment Center, more commonly known as the ‘HOPE Center,’ is a newly constructed, state of the art, 16-bed, Psychiatric Health Facility, serving the acute psychiatric needs of the community in concert with the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills achievement of their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

Education

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinically-related mental health field and LCSW or LMFT.

Experience

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Additional Requirements

Handle with Care training within 90 days of employment and CPR (training provided in-house). May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
