Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, is seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Interventional Radiology team. The role involves working 3–4 shifts per month on a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or on-call duties.

The PA/NP will work with Interventional Radiologists, performing biopsies and other image-guided procedures, while maintaining autonomy in patient evaluation and management in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Interventional Radiology or other procedural specialty.
• Demonstrated proficiency performing bedside and image-guided procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform biopsies, paracenteses, thoracenteses, lumbar punctures, and port insertions.
• Provide peri-procedural care and participate in inpatient rounding.
• Assess and manage patient populations with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Develop plans of care and follow-up based on findings.
• Order medications and write prescriptions according to policies.
