Job summary

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation in Rockville, MD is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) for our inpatient therapy department. The role involves initial evaluations, planning and delivering therapy, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications include a Master’s/Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology, active Maryland CCC-SLP license, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience (1 year in a relevant setting

Qualifications

• Master's/Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland license as CCC/SLP.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience (at least 1 year in setting preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform an initial examination to establish impairment, prognosis and plan of care.
• Provide or supervise therapy interventions and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Plan discharge and follow-up in coordination with treating providers and team.
• Communicate, document and coordinate all aspects of patient management with the care team; supervise rehab aides.
• Manage schedule to accommodate census and inform management of issues with caseload.
• Attend team meetings and communicate patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate and provide consultation to patients, families and healthcare professionals regarding therapies.
