Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center in Westampton, NJ, seeks a Mental Health Associate to support direct patient care under RN supervision in our acute care setting. Per diem, non-benefits eligible, with shifts across days and evenings to cover patient needs.

You will help patients with activities of daily living, reinforce treatment plans, document progress, and assist with meals and therapeutic activities, while maintaining a compassionate but firm approach.

Qualifications

• B.S. in health-related field with one year of psychiatric experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid, Verbal De-escalation and Handle with Care certifications will be provided by the Hospital.
• Willingness to work per diem shifts and cover various times.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and supervise patient activities to encourage appropriate behavior.
• Lead patients to meals, programs, court, clinics and other designated activities.
• Meet with assigned patients daily and document progress for the treatment team.
