First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced local Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments in Halifax, Virginia. ICU and Telemetry experience preferred; per diem schedule allows choosing day or night shifts and build a flexible pattern.

You will deliver safe, high-quality care in acute-care settings, maintain charts, administer meds, monitor cardiac rhythms, and collaborate with care teams. Active VA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and up-to-date certifications required; COVID vaccination or

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Registered Nurse license.
• At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• A current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on the specialty and facility assignment.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, high-quality care in an acute-care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment as required.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in the hospital environment.
