Alameda Health System is seeking a Housekeeping Worker to perform hospital cleaning duties under supervision at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, CA. This internal-only role requires CPI training and 6 months of prior cleaning experience in hospitals or commercial settings.

Compensation is paid hourly at $34.53 with per diem scheduling. Responsibilities include maintaining clean areas, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, handling linens, trash, and room setups, and reporting work progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months full-time cleaning experience in hospitals or commercial buildings preferred.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required for this position.

Responsabilités

• Maintains an assigned area in a clean and orderly condition; sweeps, mops, dusts, and arranges furniture; vacuums rugs and/or buffs floors using industrial or domestic cleaners.
• Makes beds and collects soiled linen; places clean linen in rooms; empties trash; washes beds in check-out units and others.
• Cleans, disinfects, mops, and maintains bathrooms; stocks dispensers; requisitions supplies.
• Cleans isolation rooms, gurneys and examining tables following cleaning procedures.
• Collects trash and moves garbage cans to pick-up stations; returns cans to proper locations.
• Sets up beds and tables in ward area; sets up and cleans meeting rooms; may use platform truck or dolly.
• Cleans walls, windows, blinds and shades; changes curtains and draperies.
• May perform routine duties usually assigned to Hospital Maintenance Porters (e.g., stripping floors with electrical/mechanical equipment).
• May operate incinerators and trash compactor on rotating assignments.
• Keeps records of work accomplished; gives simple oral/written reports.
