Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a compassionate per diem Hospice Physician to join our hospice program in the Tacoma Metro Area. The role combines remote and office-based work with opportunities for home or facility visits and inpatient unit duties, delivering comprehensive palliative care to patients with terminal illnesses.

The ideal candidate is BC/BE in Hospice or Palliative Medicine, holds an active WA license, can obtain DEA with full prescriptive authority, and demonstrates

Qualifications

• MD or DO earned from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified or Board-eligible in Hospice or Palliative Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted license in Washington state.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for hospice patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with the care team.
• Manage pain and symptoms to ensure comfort and quality of life.
• Provide medical guidance to patients and families.
• Serve as medical expert on the hospice interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
