Job summary

Elite Hospice, part of LHC Group and the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Chaplain/Spiritual Caregiver to provide spiritual care to hospice patients and their families. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, supporting patients and staff while respecting diverse beliefs and practices.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, professional endorsement, and the ability to navigate complex emotional situations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a health care setting or related pastoral role.
• Documentation of current endorsement or acceptable licensing/ordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to Hospice patients and their families.
• Demonstrate ability to support diverse beliefs and refrain from sharing personal beliefs unless asked.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team and contribute to IDG meetings.
• Offer spiritual and emotional support to Hospice staff when requested.
• Utilize a wide range of resources and refer to community religious leaders when appropriate.
