Job summary

Hope Hospice & Health Services in California is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide personal care services to our hospice patients. This per diem position offers competitive pay and a supportive work environment.

The role requires a valid California HHA license, driving eligibility, and willingness to cover shifts in Contra Costa and parts of Alameda counties, with occasional coverage to San Mateo. Shift availability includes day hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program is required.
• Current certification to practice as a Home Health Aide in California.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, mouth care, skin and hair as needed.
• Assist patients in and out of bed and with ambulation.
• Turn patients in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linens.
• Assist with prescribed exercises as directed.
