Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver home health PT services. You will operate under the direction of a licensed PT and implement the care plan to help patients heal in the comfort of their homes.

The role requires a PTA license, CAPTE-accredited education, and CPR certification, with at least one year in PTA/home health preferred. Flexible schedule and benefits align with per diem opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant (PTA).
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program per CAPTE.
• One year PTA home health experience preferred; mentoring may be required for less experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a PT and in accordance with the plan of care.
• Monitors patient responses to therapy and documents changes for the supervising team.
• Promotes wellness and prevention and documents supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Collaborates with care team and coordinates referrals to community resources.
