Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Caretenders division seeks a Social Worker - Per Diem to provide medical social services under a physician and interdisciplinary team, helping patients and families understand social and emotional factors impacting health. Pay is hourly and ranges from $33.50 to $50.30 based on full‑time status and market factors.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from a CSWE-accredited school of Social Work.
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
• Licensed Social Worker as required by state where employed.
• 1+ years of social work experience in health care settings (preferred).
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical social services under physician direction and interdisciplinary team.
• Assist patients and families in understanding social and emotional factors related to health and coping mechanisms.
