Job summary

OptumCare is seeking a Per Diem RN I to provide direct nursing care, applying clinical knowledge to ensure patient safety and comfort in alignment with standards. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to develop across care settings.

You will be expected to travel within a designated region, maintain Texas RN licensure and BLS, and participate in a supportive preceptoring program for new grads. Compensation ranges reflect experience, with full-time-equivalent pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved RN nursing program.
• 1+ years of RN work experience or supervision under new grad preceptoring program.
• Valid and current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• Willing to work 5 shifts per month.
• Willing to work 3 shifts per year the day before or after a clinic holiday, with minimum of 1 shift related to a winter holiday.
• Demonstrated ability to use equipment for CPR, oxygen delivery and intravenous therapy; CRT experience.
• Demonstrated ability to travel within a selected region.
