Job summary

A leading fertility care provider in Chicago is seeking a Per Diem Fertility Care PACU RN to deliver high-quality care during surgical procedures. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, providing pre- and post-operative care, and ensuring patient safety. Ideal candidates will hold an active Illinois RN license and have 2-3 years of relevant experience. The position offers competitive hourly rates and opportunities to work with a dynamic team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR.
• Experience with surgical procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures with compassion and attention to detail.
• Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care by monitoring patients.
• Deliver hands-on, patient-centered care across multiple phases.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Empower patients and families with clear post-operative education.
• Maintain cleanliness, sterility, and equipment functionality in the surgical suite.
• Uphold strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Act effectively in emergency situations, initiating necessary protocols.
• Mentor new team members and foster a culture of collaboration.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and organizational goals.

Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Education

Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Active RN license issued by the Illinois State Board of Nursing

Current BLS and ACLS certifications
