Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's OptumCare Onsites team seeks a Per Diem Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Missouri care network in Fenton. The role covers planned time off and sick days, offering independent practice in a primary care setting with emphasis on whole-person health.

You will deliver high-quality care across preventive, acute, chronic, and behavioral health management, including minor procedures, with a patient-centered approach and supportive development

Qualifications

• Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Missouri.
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• 2+ years of clinical experience as a FNP/PA in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency or urgent care.
• Experience using computers for professional communication.
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation.
• Experience seeing patients of all ages, including children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality Primary Care including Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams.
• Acute care of minor illness and injuries.
• Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care.
• Minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision/drainage).
• Lifestyle and well-being counseling.
• Medical management of behavioral health conditions.
