Job summary

Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Worcester, MA is seeking an Expressive Therapist for a per diem role. The therapist will plan and deliver activity-based treatment, contribute to goals as part of the interdisciplinary team, and provide ongoing patient care, observation, and modeling of appropriate behavior.

Required are a 4-year degree (or higher) in a therapeutic discipline, CPR certification, and relevant psychiatric care exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational, Recreation therapy, humanities, social work or related therapeutic discipline.
• Licensure: state/national certification preferred.
• Experience: 1 year in psychiatric care preferred.
• CPR certification and Preventative Management Aggressive Behavior Training completed prior to assisting with restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for assigned program.
• Define and implement treatment goals as part of interdisciplinary team.
• Provide patient care, observation and role modeling.
• Document services and changes in patient condition.
• Apply crisis intervention techniques when required.
