Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold NY RN license and current registration.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in the Emergency Department.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and infection control training required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a plan of care for patients and families for pre and post operative visits.
• Document and teach patients and families for pre and post operative visits.
• Document all relevant case data in EMR.
• Apply nursing knowledge and clinical judgment to care.
• Respond to urgent/emergent situations.
• Administer medications according to policy.
• Maintain licensure and current registration; comply with standards of practice.
